HR Operational Effectiveness – Enhancement

To determine the effectiveness of your operation, with the goal of enhancing it, you must first identify where you are and where you want/need to be.

Sound simple, it is!  Or at least it starts out that way.

Example: If you want to go on vacation, and maximize your fun and value (time and money), there are a few basic steps to accomplish:

bullet

identify your “needs”; and

bullet

identify your available “time”; and

bullet

identify your available “budget”.

To enhance your effectiveness is a similar process:

bullet

identify the “services” you do or need to provide; and

bullet

identify the “through-put” (length of time it takes to provide the service); and

bullet

identify your available resources (people, time, money, etc) to meet/enhance the through-put of the requested service.
